Why? Reviews matter. Reaching folx beyond my immediate community only happens if algorhythms place the book visibly, if bookstore owners see public commentary that intrigues them, if potential readers see themseveles as the audience for a book. Honest reviews matter—even fewer stars and a comment like “this book isn’t for me as more suited to someone who…” can help me.
Share an honest review–Please post your reviews now or when you can!
Amazon - If you didn’t buy the book from Amazon (good for you—hahah) they may still post your review and it just won’t have “verified status”—if you did buiy there, please upload a review! I have been donating to Amazon workers fund since Jan of 2026, and will continue. Even if you don’t support Amazon, posting a review here will help me expand my reach.

Ask for the book at your favorite bookstore or your local library. The book is available via IngramSpark where most retailers and libraries purchase books, but I can send you a promo card with info if you have connections and are on fire to help! I can also send author copies to stores who would like to purchase signed copies from me on commission. My wife ordered it from The Regulator in Durham, and they ordered extra copies! :)
Spread the word to those you think might be interested in the book!
CHANGE?? Looking to make a difference by buying a different way?! Check out cutoffthesigot on buying books other than from Amazon! Note I am trying to figure all this out and sell via my values. Patience for me while I do? SO far, I’ve centered my sales in IngramSpark and Draft to Digital to minimize Amazon, plus looking to encourage reviews on Amazon, where many folks go, even keep book lists, but then buy elsewhere. (This reaks a little of Lorde’s master’s tools to dismantle the master’s house, but I’m working on it!) For folx in Canada, where IS will not ship: if you want to avoid Amazon, I’ve set up my website for direct sales! Have ideas? Send them!! xox

Reviews are CRAZY helpful, especially in the first 30 days—ok, always (who knew)—so if you want to help that’s a way to do it. And I want to thank those who take the time!! (Thopugh SHORT review is good too, and some of you have written pieces of art about the book—wow, thanks!)
SO—I drew names for three thank-you boxes to include a signed paperback copy, and some surprise handcarved blockprint crow gifts and/or farm gifts that are in the making (haven’t decided on cards, bookmarks, tea towels, tea, a combo, or other!).
If you’d like to be entered in the second drawing, pop me an email to teseliza@gmail.com after you’ve posted a review, with subject line ARC and body providing your name and email and saying “done!” BY AUGUST 31st. That's it. I’ll draw another three names on the 31st and contact the winners!
